We are looking for a Product Manager to direct product development and ensure high return on investment (ROI.) You’ll translate ideas into strategy and features, and follow product development from start to finish.

About Salt Edge

SaltEdge is a FinTech Startup with offices in Toronto, Chisinau, and London. The company has built a Financial API Platform for PSD2 and Open Banking, aiming to innovate the financial sector and create an open financial marketplace based on APIs.

SaltEdge was created in 2013 by a Moldovan and a Canadian founders, raised $3M of initial investment and managed to acquire a variety of customers, from big ones as Societe Generale, ING, BBVA, to smaller but well-known fintech startups such as MeetCleo, GetChip, Seedly, Spendee, MoneyWiz, etc.

The team consists of 65 team members - engineers, data scientists, compliance experts, information security specialists, user experience specialists, as well as marketing and business development managers. We’re looking only for the best people, interested to become experts in their own field, get familiar with the startup culture and contribute to a better financial world and services.

Job responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement product strategies consistent with Salt Edge’s vision;
  • Work with senior management to create product plans and roadmaps;
  • Keep a closer look at the competition and propose new features to improve user experience;
  • Conduct user interviews and be present at the meetings with lenders in order to better understand their particular needs and pain points;
  • Take a leadership role and manage the team to ensure the most optimal way of resource availability and allocation;
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of the project;
  • Produce and review product requirements, specifications, and documentation;
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques and compare them to initially set KPIs and metrics;
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs;
  • Define and analyze possible risks related to the project implementation and set in place a plan of mitigation actions.

Job requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager or similar role;
  • Experience in product lifecycle management;
  • Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies;
  • Understanding of user experience and basic design principles;
  • Familiarity with the Agile framework;
  • Organizational and leadership abilities;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English;
  • Attention to detail and multitasking skills;
  • Problem-solving aptitude;
  • Creative thinking skills;
  • BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Business/Administration or related field;
  • Relevant certification as Agile Manager/PM is a bonus;
  • Experience in working for a startup, being part of an accelerator/incubator or creating own businesses is a huge bonus.
